Abstract

Free software is present in a large part of our everyday areas. From the standpoint of people who are professionally involved in the provision of language services and also those engaged in transaltion training and translation research, free software opens a range of opportunities. This paper presents the diverse approaches to the relationship between translation and free software collected in volume 9 of the Journal Tradumàtica.
