Towards a school program for a plurilingual and intercultural education
Abstract
This article aims at illustrating the strengths and the theoretical foundations of the innovative language learning proposal put forward by Escola Andorrana (the state education of Andorra). It is a student-centred model based on an ecological perspective on language teaching and learning. Intercultural and plurilingual education transcends the traditional disciplinary boundaries and organises learning through project-based proposals. The Andorranean curriculum is aligned with the latest recommendations proposed by the Council of Europe.
