Abstract

As a thousand-year-old practice and a new approach to language teaching, the intercomprehension (IC) in parent languages has recently undergone a certain development, under the auspices and with the support of international organizations. The Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) has participated very actively. On the other hand, its priorities have been specific directions of work less targeted, such as the young public, the oral, ICT, intercultural, etc. But much remains to be done to develop this reliable tool for pluralistic approaches. A set of references on theoretical works and interuniversity programs on IC in which the UAB participated concludes this brief article.
