The (re) translation, a powerful instrument for cultural projection

Abstract

The retranslation into Catalan of great authors and classic works of universal literature such as
Homer, Faulkner, Whitman and Pushkin, have contributed in recent years to arouse the interest
of the conventional media, create new readers for these works and enrich the cultural system.
Editorial operations that, at the same time, have served to project debates and cultural issues
and make the figure of the translator visible.
