Literature as the supporting axis for the implementation of interculturality in FLE classroom

Abstract

This article focuses on the intercultural dimension of literature as an axis to develop intercultural competence in language learning. After a historical review of the role of literature in foreign language didactics, the most important features of interculturality are pointed out and the importance of literature as a transmitter of culture is underlined. A pragmatic part is included in which methodological reflections and practical ideas on how to integrate literature into the learning of a foreign language are included in to go deeper into the concept of interculturality.
