Perceive, understand and feel: The accessibility of Paleolithic sites
Abstract
This essay presents a summary of the extant public presentation’s models of Palaeolithic sites. Diverse issues considering the intended public and providing a discussion about the criteria that define the comprehensive accessibility (physical and mental) to the Palaeolithic sites have been tackled. It is also analysed the process comprised from excavation to site representation, while exploring the idea of archaeological intervention understood as a «return to the origin» and site function as «memorial spaces». At last, the value of Palaeolithic sites, which ustifies the representations made on them, has been considered. Keywords
