Le mosche del capitale: la palinodia del finale
Abstract
The essay points out that the last novel by the author of Urbino marks an abrupt solution of continuity with respect to the novels of the first years. It relates this gap with the shipwreck of the progressive ideals of reforming capital from within. It documents how this allegorical change of direction has consequences on several levels of the Volponian page, beginning with the disappearance of the hard and expressionist subjectivism that characterized his style. He points out how the dominant register is constituted by the corporate bureaucratic language and points to the decline of the animist processes that characterized the author's subversive lyricism. Keywords
