Abstract

This paper presents the reflections of the students on the application of the feminist approach to translation in the "Theory of Translation and Interpretation" classroom. Specifically, we present the reflections of the students, whose translation projects focus on audiovisual translation. In the data obtained we have analyzed the correctness of the translation proposals and how the students have applied the sex-gender categories, to justify or reject them. The findings show trends related to the development of a critical attitude towards androcentrism, linguistic sexism, and linguistic representation of dissident sexualities, as well as a progressive awareness of the need to incorporate the feminist approach to translation as an ethical aspect in the profession.
