Abstract

We are pleased to presentt volume 21 (2), of Perifèria. Revista de Reccerca i Formació en Antropologia.

As with previous volumes of the journal, we introduce a collection of papers that include a variety of themes and types of research, all of them bassed in empirical and ethnographic works. In this way, we introduce parenthood experiences around birth, an exploration into truncated adoptions in Catalunya, and the so called “humanized” births in Brasil. We also count with an interestiing contribution about the shaping of patromony throughout information and communications technologies, and an exploration through the autobiographies of rock underground in the 90’s in Brasil.

In this volume, we also include two book reviews about very timely topics; gender and urban cultures. Following previous volumes, we have also included an interview with anthropologist Danielle Provansal, a well-known academic for her work in the anthropology of Magreb and her ethnography in Argelia.
