Privilegio, riesgo e in/movilidad: británicos jubilados reconstruyendo estilos de vida en Costas españolas

Resumen

Las personas británicas jubiladas que residen en España conforman un grupo privilegiado de migrantes. Utilizan sus pasaportes poderosos y recursos económicos para buscar una mejor calidad de vida al envejecer en un país más económicamente asequible con un clima más cálido. Debido a eventos significativos como el Brexit y la pandemia de la COVID-19, estas comunidades se enfrentan a desafíos inéditos en términos de movilidad y estabilidad que impactan el privilegio migratorio en el que basan sus proyectos vitales. Por lo tanto, este artículo analiza cómo se redefine la distinción entre la movilidad y la inmovilidad e identifica una asociación significativa y positiva entre la inmovilidad y la pertenencia entre personas británicas jubiladas en Costas españolas.
