Privilegi, risc i im/mobilitat: britànics jubilats reconstruint estils de vida a Costes espanyoles
Resum
Les persones britàniques jubilades que resideixen a Espanya conformen un grup privilegiat de migrants. Utilitzen els seus passaports poderosos i recursos econòmics per cercar una millor qualitat de vida en envellir en un país més econòmicament assequible amb un clima més càlid. A causa d'esdeveniments significatius com el Brexit i la pandèmia de la COVID-19, aquestes comunitats s'enfronten a desafiaments inèdits en termes de mobilitat i estabilitat que impacten el privilegi migratori en què basen els seus projectes vitals. Per tant, aquest article analitza com es redefineix la distinció entre la mobilitat i la immobilitat i identifica una associació significativa i positiva entre la immobilitat i la pertinença entre persones britàniques jubilades a Costes espanyoles.
