Abstract

The article explores the novel Madre robot by Nora Rabinowicz (2021) and the theatrical work Decile que soy francesa by Gabriela Bianco (2022) as crip/Deaf pedagogies built from the perspective of the daughter. Seen through that hypothesis, both Argentinian fictions offer not only images of the world from the point of view of those who mediate between the people oppressed by the ableist regime and the rest of the community, but also creative operations of critical intervention on that world, as part of the same process of learning and teaching. Relying on the notions of ‘pedagogies of cruelty’/‘counter-pedagogies of cruelty’, we seek to show what tools both works produce to redraw the inherited relationships between literature/theater, education and social criticism/change.
