Global responsibilities and structural injustices. An Iris Marion Young reading
Abstract
Iris Marion Young analyzes on political responsibility make us think about the consequences of our actions and how they affect other subjects at transnational processes. This article presents a reading of Iris Young's proposal, comparing it with the idea of collective responsibility in Hannah Arendt. Both authors put responsibility into the field of collective action against injustice, separating it from the notion of guilt and intentionality. This paper analyzes the possibilities of connection-based responsibility to evaluate processes of social structural injustices in our societies.
