The functions of the threshold in the organization of space in Archaic Greece
Abstract
In the texts from Archaic Greece, the threshold is a key feature for the organization of the space inhabited by humans. It is a marker sign that articulates space both horizontally and vertically. The human architects at Delphi repeat at the level of foundation the cosmic gesture that causes the separation of light from darkness and the apparition of order amid undifferentiated nature in the form of paths and orientation points. Keywords
