Classical tradition in “Volver al mundo”
Abstract
In Volver al mundo González Sainz has built a mythical literary space consciously using classical sources, judging by the many coincidences that can be found between this novel and such sources. The aim of this paper is, on the one hand, to identify the most relevant of them, and, on the other, to show what might be the sense of resorting to certain texts in a work set at the turn of the 20th century which, furthermore, does not avoid realism. Keywords
