The liberal-communitarist controversy in education
Abstract
The primary objective of this ariicle is to consider rhc rational justification of the existence of the “communirarist” current as a line of thought. The author compares communitarism and liberalism and then reviews the basic theses of the communitarist authors (mainly Sandel, Taylor, MacIntyre and Walzer). Finally, she offers applications of comnmunitarism in the philosophy of education.Keywords
