Alguna cosa més que un canvi en el clima: evidències, raons i emocions en les narratives de la pandèmia ambiental i ecològica
Resum
Destaquem la importància de la comunicació per entendre adequadament el procés de deteriorament mediambiental i ecològic del planeta Terra. Proposem deixar d’utilitzar el terme canvi climàtic per comunicar aquest procés, que caracteritzem com a pandèmia ambiental i ecològica d’origen antròpic. Defensem una comunicació orientada a la persuasió i a la cerca de consens basada en l’acceptació del dissens a través de l’argumentació i el diàleg. Una comunicació que combini la raó de les dades i les evidències, així com de l’anàlisi crítica i reflexiva, amb l’apel·lació a les emocions i als valors, que tingui en compte la importància de les dinàmiques i les dimensions de les ètiques. Instem a considerar la comunicació científica com a cultura. Advoquem per un marc epistèmic i institucional que incorpori una ecologia comunicativa, prestant més atenció als contextos de les relacions recíproques entre els éssers humans, el medi ambient i la resta de les formes de vida que habiten el planeta, així com al sentit de comunitat global.
