Hacia el vórtice sin vista de lo inimaginable: Nyarlathotep o la trayectoria del significante lovecraftiano
Resumen
La ficción fantástica, especulativa y fantástica comparten una relación apropiadamente misteriosa con el psicoanálisis. Lovecraft y sus tentáculos semánticos vienen inmediatamente a la mente. Indescriptibles, inefables, inimaginables, los monstruos lovecraftianos aparecen, en la superficie, como un perfecto marcador de posición para el Real lacaniano. Siguiendo este modelo (superficial/profundidad), ejemplificado por el seminario de Lacan sobre «La carta robada», «La llamada de Cthulhu» se ha utilizado a menudo como parábola de lo Real. Este texto argumenta que Cthulhu no puede representar lo real, al menos, ya no. Se ha agotado como significante, sobrerrepresentado en la cultura pop contemporánea. En su lugar, Nyarlathotep, el Caos Reptante, al igual que lo Real, no se puede precisar debido a su propia naturaleza. El Caos Reptante o el Dios de las Mil Caras viaja de la misma manera que lo hace el significante: por un lado su forma está en permanente cambio (eje Y) pero, al mismo tiempo, repta en el eje X.
