Não apenas a família: as redes de apoio aos filhos de casais com rendimentos duplos

Resumo

As redes de apoio ao cuidado são essenciais para que os casais espanhóis consigam conciliar os seus horários profissionais e familiares. Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa na qual foram entrevistados 15 casais heterossexuais em que ambos os membros trabalhavam em tempo integral e que viviam com filhos entre 3 e 15 anos. Foram questionados sobre as suas redes de apoio ao cuidado, com especial atenção ao papel que os não familiares podem desempenhar. Os resultados mostram a diversidade das redes de cuidado, oferecendo uma imagem mais complexa e matizada do que é comum em outros estudos, onde apenas o papel da família é destacado. Embora seja verdade que, quando disponível, a família costuma ser a principal fornecedora de recursos, não é incomum encontrar na rede de apoio outros adultos não familiares, especialmente amigos próximos e pessoas que se conheceram no ambiente escolar. menores. Fica evidente também que o cuidado continua sendo uma tarefa feminina, uma vez que a maioria dos integrantes das redes são mulheres e possuem vínculos mais fortes com a mãe do que com o pai da criança.
