Towards eco-sensocentrism as an ethical position for animal law
Abstract
Given the immeasurable number of interactions and relations that exist between the animals that inhabit the planet, as well as the large number of species, each with particular needs according to their biological characteristics, it is unfeasible to determine our moral and legal obligations towards nonhumans with universalisms, which is why I propose to take an eco-sensocentric ethic as a basis at the legislative and judicial level, in order to adress the cases in which non-human animals are instrumentalized and exploited for us.
