Abstract

The following study constitutes the first part of a wider essay which seeks to offer an insight into the current state of the intertextual relation between Lope de Vega and the novellieri. In this first part a panoramic view is developed by exemplifying a concrete case and, within the revision of the most significant studies of the author-author relation, the one between Lope and Boccaccio is analysed.
