Isabel Alonso-Breto, Universitat de Barcelona

Isabel Alonso-Breto is a lecturer in Postcolonial Literatures in English at the University of Barcelona. In recent years her research has focussed on Sri Lankan and Tamil literature in English. Among her latest publications are  “The Ethics of Care in the No Fire Zone: Anuk Arudpragasam's The Story of a Brief Marriage.” Atlantis. Journal of the Spanish Association of Anglo-American Studies 43.1 (2021) 72-88) and ’Don’t be sorry. We didn’t do this’: Diaspora Choices in Vasugi Ganeshananthan’s Love Marriage.” Kritika Kultura 37 (2021) 82–101. Also a translator, she is the author of the poetry collection Elogio de la tabla de surf y otros poemas desde el cáncer de mama (Barcelona: Helicóptero, 2021).
