Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

MILID Scientific Journal is a science journal co-published by the Journalism and Communication Sciences Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and Tsinghua University. This scientific journal is one of the collaborative actions carried out under "The UNESCO-UNAOC University Network on Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue (MILID)"

MILID will publish scientific articles in the fields of media and information literacy and intercultural dialogue from an always social and a cultural viewpoint and following the theoretical and methodological approaches. Book reviews will also be published in MILID issues.

MILID will especially value articles from competitive research projects, with a clear articulation of theory and methodology, a well-defined and up-to-date theoretical framework, and which are proposed as a significant contribution to their subject area and field.


We are seeking proposals on 3 sections:

Articles: The main goal of this section is to receive submissions containing research results on Media and Information Literacy & Intercultural Dialogue issues. Authors have to guarantee the following criteria: minimum of 30 bibliographic references (including JCR or ScoPus articles) and a well-developed methodological section.

Debates: The main goal of this section is to engage authors from universities all around the world to debate about current issues related to the Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue Section. Minimum of contributions will be 2 and maximum 6. Papers should have a maximum length of 3 pages.

Book review: This section is devoted to book reviews of international contributions on issues related to Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue.

Articles

Articles will be evaluated by peer-review policy. The external evaluators will be from universities around the world.

Peer Review Process

The articles published in MILID are first submitted to a blind review by recognised experts in the field chosen by the Editorial Committee from the journal's pool of inter-university and international reviewers.
